The starting prices of all auctions are $0.00 with NO RESERVE. Every time a bid is placed a little bit of time is added to the auction timer to give other interested users the chance to bid as well. This simulates the feeling that you would get in a real brick and mortar auction house. Going, going....Gone!

If your name is shown when the auction countdown timer hits 00:00:00  You are the WINNER!

  This displays the item’s current bid price. The winner of the auction has to pay this price to receive the item. 10% of the final price goes to a charity of the winner’s choice.

 This displays the item’s real market value. PlanetBid gets products from different partners and it can occour that different retailers sell the same product for higher or lower prices. “Valued at” is displayed to give users an idea of the retail price of the item.

This displays the status of the auction. Users can only bid on active auctions.

This displays the auction’s highest bidder. If no more bids are placed and the auction timer hits zero the user displayed in this section wins the auction.

The auction timer shows the time left until the end of the auction. A little time is added after a bid is placed.

  A fixed price auction differs from other auctions in that the end price can never change. The timers work in the same way-counting down to 0.00 with time added on for each additonal bid. But the end price will never change.
